About the event
UNO came to the Capital's region scene in April 2016, founded by Venezuelan singer Androcles (Andro), who made Ottawa his home in 2007.
Starting as a brotherhood of four; the Polish guitarist Greg Szepietowski, Juno award winner Angel Araos from Chile, and Brazilian bassist, pianist, and composer Sylvio Modolo— UNO has grown and evolved over time.
Today, the band boasts new talent, including U.S. drummer Rafael de Los Reyes and Mexican guitarist Israel 'Izzy' Martinez.
The 'UNO family' of collaborators has also expanded, featuring talents like Juan-Luis Vasquez Ceron from Chile, Andrew Ferderber, James Arif, Szymon A. Szańczuk from Canada, and many more.
UNO is a fusion of genres—rooted in Latin rhythms but enriched with elements from classic salsa, powerful rock, jazz, and even disco.
Since 2017, our exclusive 'UNO Rock en Español' concerts have redefined Latin music in two provinces.
